Hi folks! It’s Bob Fassbender here with Energy-Models.com. In this lesson, we’re going to discuss modeling heat pumps in Trace 700. We’re going to start by modeling air-to-air heat pumps then we are going to proceed to water-source heat pumps. And then, to modeling ground-source heat pumps and finally to geo-thermal chillers. There is no better way to model heat pump than to practice it on your own so we’re going to start with this Air Heat Pump - 0 file. I’m going to save this as [changes file name to AirHP-1]. And just name it “AirHP-1” for reference. We already have the square building set up (that we set up in the Dedicated Outdoor Air tutorial). If you need a refresher on that, I suggest going back and watch go through the building set-up. You’ll notice we have no systems because we’re started fresh with the systems and, subsequently, no plants.
