Want TRACE 700 for free? You have three options.

Option 1 - TRACE Rewards Points

Do you spec equipment? Or do you purchase equipment? Do you talk to your local Trane rep? Well, you might not know it, but you might be able to get TRACE 700 for free (this will be the full support package too). It’s possible to get a discount too.

See, many Trane offices have “rewards points” systems. When you purchase equipment you get points which are often redeemable for office training events, and even trips to the good ole’ chiller plant in La Crosse, WI (which for some is code for a night on the town or 4th Street - the pub district). However, maybe ask your Trane Account Manager about getting a TRACE 700 license with these rewards points. Though, I bet more of you will ask about the pub district.

Option 2 - Student Discount

This is for students only. TRACE 700 has an academic package that is basically free (it’s only $2/seat!). Given that you can get your university to buy it, this makes it free to you. This package doesn’t come with support (it is supposed to be supported by your professor, but they don’t exactly have that sort of time). However, you can get plenty of free support on the forum here at energy-models.com. Plus, you can get our online training for next to nothing as a full-time student.

Option 3 - (Disclaimer - this is a joke.)

You can always steal it! But if you do make sure to take our TRACE 700 training so if you get sent to prison, you can make a deal with the prison guards to improve their air conditioning (hey, it gets hot beating on all those inmates).
