Hi,
I'm Dayani from Sri Lanka and i'm trying to use the eQUEST to model the
energy consumption of a building. But in the eQUEST, Sri Lanka has not
given as a location. So i want to know whether there is anyway to generate
the weather files compatible with eQUEST?
Thank you very much for your kind corporation.

There are Energy Plus .epw weather files for many international
locations. There seem to be 9 locations for Sri Lanka. See here:
http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/energyplus/cfm/weather_data.cfm
At DOE2.com in the download area under weather utilities, there is an
EPW to bin file converter (eQ_WthProc) which will convert from energy
plus weather to binary (.bin) files that DOE2 and eQUEST will read. See
here:
http://doe2.com/index_Wth.html#eQ_WthProc
Good luck!
Brian
Thank you very much for your kind help.
I tried the bin file converter, but it's given me a error message "Invalid
file name". And the file downloaded from "Trane" website,
http://www.trane.com/Commercial/DesignAnalysis/weather.aspx seems working.
But they also don't have weather files for Sri Lanka.
Moreover, is there anyway that we can input weather data and create a .bin
file? because the weather data files that available are not for 2011 it
seems.
Again thank you very much for helping me out.
