Dear colleagues,
This is to make you aware of a new PhD position in our group: http://jobs.tue.nl/nl/vacature/phd-computational-performance-optimization-of-responsive-buildings-225603.html
The research will focus on energy-efficient and cost-effective optimization of innovative responsive building elements (RBE); i.e. elements that can change their properties over time, in response to varying occupant needs, smart grid interaction and weather conditions.
The objective of this PhD research is to develop and test a computational performance assessment framework that can be used to analyze the direct (e.g. energy, emissions, comfort) as well as indirect performance benefits of buildings with RBE. Using a series of case studies, the application potential of this framework will be demonstrated.
Outcomes from the case studies will be used to inspire further product/concept development towards high-potential RBE solutions.
Please forward this message as you see fit.
Vriendelijke groet / Kind regards,
Jan Hensen
