Dear all,
This is to make you aware of the just opened vacancy: Post-doc - Indoor Climate in a Smart Grid Environment.
This vacancy is positioned within the STW project i-CARE which goal is to optimize the energy demand of (office) buildings in smart grids by exploiting the inherent flexibility of the construction, use and users of buildings. The project will focus on whole building simulation to assess the maximum allowable simplification in reduced thermal modelling of buildings in the intended smart grid application. In addition an assessment is made of the allowed constraints for thermal comfort within the context of current standards and the potential and the need of applying more detailed thermophysiological modelling to assess equivalence of thermal exposure. Finally, in-situ assessment of the thermal exploitation of building mass in the context of smart grids is envisaged. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Twente University and industry partners.
More information about the vacancy and application process is found at

(Please do not send your application by email but use the submit procedure as indicated on the website)
We would appreciate it very much if you could forward this message to potential candidates.
Thanks in advance,
Marcel Loomans
