How to delete a floor in eQuest model in detail design mode.

Hi,

I have build a model for LEED compliance using a multiplier option in
eQuest, now by mistake my multiplier went wrong resulting in one excess
floor in each wing of building.

So can anyone guide me to delete a floor eQuest model in detail design
wizard mode.

Thanks

Hello Ankit,

I am little bit confuse of your question; Either it will be in detail data
mode or wizard data mode (you write "detail design wizard mode").
As my knowledge, If you are in wizard mode you can easily change the
multiplier number in the screen 1 of DD wizard: Shell component.

If you are in detailed mode, when you go at spreadsheet tab of Building
shell, internal load, and air-side tab, you will get columns for space
multiplier and floor multiplier. By changing these number you can get
desire floors.

If someone has other way to do it, please share with us.

I interpret Ankits question to be in the DD Wizard mode (DD being Design Development).
?
If he IS in the DETAIL EDIT mode, then he will need to deal with the .INP file for the most part to remove his floor.

Hi Ankit,

Shell (floor) multipliers in wizard mode manifest in the detailed mode under building shell tab - double click the shell in the component tree to edit:

Worth noting: wizards can also introduce shell multipliers if you have multi-story shells and don't un-tick the "use multipliers" box that pops up.

Also, when you double click a space in the tree, the "floor multiplier" input there mirrors the parent shell's multiplier by default (green text). Revising the parent shell multiplier value per above will in turn correct all its child spaces if you haven't manually entered something else. Manually editing the space multipliers (red text) overrides the shell multiplier, should you have cause to maintain a multiplier for select spaces.

Hope this helps!
