SENIOR LEVEL MECHANICAL ENGINEER SEQUIL Systems provides LEED Commissioning services to building projects in local and international markets. Our clients seek to optimize their projects during design, through construction and ownership. They call upon the SEQUIL team to present peer-level advisory services in order to achieve high levels of building performance at lower investment and operating costs. Our projects include technical buildings such as laboratories, hospitals, museums, industrial facilities. This position is available in our South Florida location. The successful candidate will possess a Professional Engineering license and a Bachelor?s degree from an accredited engineering program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in engineering and knowledge of commissioning, with at least 5 of those years in a consulting engineering firm. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of control systems and experience writing and evaluating control sequences. LEED accreditation is a plus, with the ideal candidate being environmentally-minded and thoroughly understanding of energy and climate change issues. Experience with commissioning and energy optimization requirements under the LEED program is desirable. Experience with Building Simulation/Energy Modeling is an important aspect of this position, using Trane Trace or eQuest software. The candidate will have a deep understanding and knowledge of the architectural engineering industry, with a portfolio of design engineering work that demonstrates a complete understanding of HVAC systems in a variety of facility types. The candidate will possess strong communication, project management and client relation skills, ideally having solid references, reputation and relationships in the A/E industry.
