I'm working on an energy model and need to compare the code minimum building to the design. The problem is, I built the design building in Alternative 1 and code building in Alt 2. Is there an easy way to swap these? I can't just copy alt 1 and delete it because you aren't able to delete Alt 1 in TRACE. I don't want to have to go through all of my templates and room types and switch them over manually...it's a large building...
Create a new file based on alternative 2 (file, new, new file based on existing file). Once the new file is created, right click on the (new) alternative 1 and select "new alternative based on existing file" and select the old alternative 1; it will become the new alternative 2.

Here's another question: Now that I've done this, I have had to add new rooms for another building in the project to one of the alternatives. We want these rooms to also be in the other alternative. Is there an easy way to copy the rooms from one alternative to the next?
No, or at least not that I know of. I've always gone back and done it by hand.
