Dear All e-Quest Users

Please how to model a Dummy Zone & DOAS with heat wheel device (dedicated outdoor outside air) in e-Quest?.I need it please very urgent ?if somebody please help me?..Your reply is very very highly appreciated ?thanks by Advance

* Create Dummy space & dummy zone

* Create DOAS as system as package single zone assign to dummy Zone

* For other system outside air from DOAS.

Note that at this point, the OA-FROM keyword is just setting the OA
temperature for the borrowing system to the return air temperature for
the lending system. It isn't really modelling DOAS yet. The issue this
leads to is the heat recovery device is seeing the exhaust air stream
temperature from the dummy zone, not the borrowing zones.

In heating dominated climates, this can be overcome by either adding a
dummy internal load to the dummy zone to give it a higher return air
temp for heat recovery or what I do is use the frost control to force
the exhaust air stream temperature up to a reasonable value (73F) and
put that as electric heat on a separate, free meter. In a cooling
dominated climate, I don't know how you would force that dummy zone
return temperature down.

You can add a latent internal load too. For cooling - I think if you assign a negative value to the internal source that should work. The challenge is to get the scheduling correct for the load.

As a side note (if your DOAS is supplying neutral air - ignore this) - if you are supplying air that is significantly cooler than setpoint temperatures (60 degrees & cooler would probably qualify) you need to represent the cooling effect of the DOAS air into the room. You can do this with a negative internal load in the space with an assigned schedule too.

I always end up adding the DOAS stuff proportionately to the respective
systems. It is too much headache to deal with the dummy zone. That is why I
suggested in the wish list email that the developers should do away with
the dummy zone and write a simple parent OA system with the child AHU's -
seems more straight forward and realistic.

thanks for all your help

only to clarify , please

1- I suggest to do A Fresh Air Handling unit (Double Heat wheel Recovery with exhaust), that will deliver Fresh air @ 75 deg F to a Package unit that will serve the space...Is this Suggestion are Good or there is a other Best Solution ?

2- Howi should Model this FAHU (Especially contain double heat wheel recovery) in e-quest , also Dummy Zone how i can model it? ....and it should be in Proposed Model ? and in Base Model ?

3- Last question please...I have a Science Laboratory that Fresh Air Quantity needed (OA) exceed the Supply air flow (according to heat load) , in this case, should i use Fresh air Handling unit without connected to a Pachage Unit ? or what other best solution ?
