Energy Engineer/Analyst II
Vanderweil Engineers, LLP has an opportunity in the Boston headquarters
for a degreed engineer with a minimum of five years experience in the
consulting engineering field to perform energy analyses and building
modeling. This position requires experience and knowledge of various
building types and related building systems.
Responsibilities include providing energy analyses and related reports
to support our designs focused on large and complex projects as well as
performing energy audits of existing facilities to determine energy
conservation measures.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated understanding of HVAC
systems and equipment along with their application and performance
modeling. Knowledge and expertise in using simulation software such as
eQuest, DOE 2.2, and Trace are required. Working knowledge of LEED,
ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 55, ASHRAE 62.1, and Building Codes is necessary.
Focused experience in using modeling tools and knowledge of systems
required - minimum of 2 years.
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills to work with our
internal design teams, owners, and architects. The candidate will
ideally be environmentally minded with an understanding of energy and
climate change issues to work together with our project team and clients
to make a positive impact.
BSME required. Professional Engineering and LEED accreditation
preferred.
