The AEC Simulation team has a mission of using Software-as-a-Service and cloud computing and extending the value of model-based processes in AEC through collaboration, sustainable design, and conceptual design. The sustainable Analysis Products group continues to develop tools which enhance the ability of architects to understand how to model and build a sustainable structure.

General Summary:

As the Senior Product Manager for Sustainable Analysis Products you will provide technical vision, leadership, and direction for sustainable design across the AEC building information modeling portfolio. You will contribute as a manager and subject matter expert to the development, validation engineering, and execution of the AEC sustainable design business and product strategy and roadmap. You will contribute to strategic partnerships and technology acquisitions in support of the strategy. You will engage other product managers, product design, and product development to enable sustainable design integration across the BIM portfolio. And you will contribute both internal and external evangelism of AEC's sustainable design solutions and business objectives. This is a global role requiring between 25% and 50% worldwide travel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and lead the execution of strategies within the division that further the integration of sustainable design capabilities into our building information modeling portfolio
* Develop and drive a clear understanding of the market requirements around sustainable design; document same
* Development and document in a Strategic MRD the requirements for sustainable design
* Coordinate efforts across AEC to ensure that all products are aligned to the sustainable design strategy
* Research and analyze customer needs and market trends
* Understand market and competitor dynamics, identify targets and market opportunities
* Define and articulate the product vision and roadmap
* Document high-level product requirements
* Analyze options (buy, build and partner) for the product to most effectively solve an identified market problem.
* Provide ongoing guidance and help set priorities to product design and product development organization
* Represent AEC to selected corporate initiatives on sustainable design, including product management council
Technical/Functional Experience & Competencies

* B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering-related field.
* 5 or more years experience with building energy analysis software (DOE-2/eQuest, EnergyPlus, etc.).
* 2 or more years of software development.
* In-depth knowledge of building science analyses
* Knowledge of Architecture, Engineering or Construction and product development process.
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to work with teams spread around the world
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Ability to be self-directed and proactive with minimal intervention and possess the adaptability to change quickly, as needed
