Responsibilities:
Bentley Systems currently seeks an energetic mechanical, electrical, HVAC or environmental engineer; architect, LEED AP or other sustainability professional with a minimum of two years experience to serve as a Regional Engineer. This technical sales job works in support of Bentley's Building Performance Group product line. The successful candidate will be based in either Washington, D.C. or Carlsbad, CA. The selected individual will participate in all phases of the sales cycle by working closely with the sales team to demonstrate how Bentley Building Performance solutions help users address issues and achieve business goals, conduct training and deliver coaching and services. Other responsibilities include:
* Carrying both a personal and team sales quota
* Partnering with Account Managers to secure sales and insure success in new and existing accounts.
* Developing and conducting professional product presentations and demonstrations in small and large firms.
* Providing technical assessments of customers and matches product demonstrations to meet their needs.
* Providing technical product assistance to both inside and outside sales representatives in the development and closing of sales opportunities.
* Delivering services or consulting in his area of expertise
* Working with the sales team as required to proactively follow-up with customer technical leads to provide additional information or answer specific technical questions.
* Customizing company-standard technical demos to specifically address customer needs.
Qualifications:
* BS/BA Engineering Degree required / PE License desired but not required.
* Two years relevant industry experience, post-degree
* Demonstrable experience with at least one of the following: Trane TRACE 700; Carrier HAP; eQuest; EnergyPlus; DesignBuilder; IES VE; Hevacomp or Tas.
* Relevant experience in the building industry in HVAC or energy analysis desirable
* Familiar with design processes and project management for the building industry
* Practical design experience with commercial, industrial and institutional buildings
* LEED AP certification or desire to complete program
* Excellent communication and writing skills in English

* Bentley Building Mechanical Systems - MicroStation
* Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD MEP (Building Systems)
* or any other competitive products
