Bring commercial building and energy modeling expertise to a range of our clients. Support energy savings calculations, whole building energy model reviews, statistical modeling, analysis of large data sets, and project management. Engineering manager's primary responsibilities will be to ensure we achieve performance goals, develop strategies to improve our services, consistently deliver high quality work on time and within budget, and provide professional growth opportunities for engineers. Support business development efforts and proactively seek new project opportunities.

Job Description
Education and Experience:
* 5+ years of engineering experience
* 2+ years of people management
* Engineering Degree and P.E. License
* Utility Energy Efficiency industry knowledge a plus
* Additional Certifications preferred, but not required: Building Energy Modeling Professional or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional
* Effective writing and verbal communication skills
* Understand applicable building codes and federal equipment standards
* Knowledge and experience working with building energy simulation software such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus, Energy Pro, and/or IES-VE
Primary Responsibilities:
* Act as direct manager for a team of energy engineers and energy analysts, including:
o Oversee the performance of the engineering team and ensure the team achieves both team and company performance objectives
o Provide strategic guidance and prioritization of work to ensure work is effectively supporting the goals of the relevant programs
o Provide opportunities for engineers to grow professional
o Assure that engineering analysis is performed to the company's standard of quality and certainty to achieve a high level of client satisfaction
o Lead critical conversations with staff
* Lead the develop energy efficiency strategies and documented energy savings using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, statistics and energy modeling software
* Implement resource planning in conjunction with Engineering Management team
* Manage team projects and establish project scopes (deliverables, timeline, cost); understanding of contractual agreements
* Provide performance reports to senior management and consult on potential improvements to improve team and program performance
* Provide technical knowledge to explain complex energy issues to internal and external parties including customers and trade allies
* Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand organization's strengths and weaknesses; analyze market and competition; identify external threats and opportunities; adapt strategy to changing conditions
* Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data; design work flows and procedures
* Develop and manage productive relationships with internal and external clients
