We are currently seeking a Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Alpharetta GA Area as part of the Air Solutions Sales Team!
LG Electronics is looking to hire Building Energy Modeling Engineer with expertise in energy modeling, analysis of residential and non-residential buildings, and case study analysis & Competitor conversion and comparison to support LG Electronics' Sales and Applied Reps for residential buildings, commercial office buildings, retail facilities, and K-12 schools
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Energy Analysis Support Services - provide high level support and understanding for industry energy modeling/analysis tools. Provide project application support to LG Electronics Sales Engineers, the network of LG Electronics Manufacturer Reps and Distributors, and customers.
* Generating favorable LG specifications and guides with design engineers in energy consumption modeling for LG VRF versus competitive VRF and versus competitive traditional HVAC designs utilizing Energy modeling tools
* Specification checking / guidelines - Instruction and guidelines to create better LG Electronics specs provided for Sales Engineer, Applied Reps & Customer Engineers
* Provide input and guidance to marketing team for the creation of Technical Tools / Selection Guides
* Providing training and education of design and sales engineers regarding VRF technology and LG advantages
* Provide high level Product Support to the internal and external customers
Job Requirements:
* BS degree or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
* Knowledge and experience using energy performance modeling and simulation software (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, HAP, EnergyPro, IES-VE, EnergyPlus, etc.)
* Knowledge of HVAC(including VRF and Ductless) Systems Design, HVAC products, load calculations, and zone and building automation controls
* Knowledge of Codes and Standards including LEED, Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, ASRAE 62.1, and ASHRAE 55
* LEED Projects experience preferred
* Ability to answer HVAC and Building technical questions.
* Programming skill(VB or C) preferred
* Expert user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, AutoCAD, REVIT, or similar CAD experience
* Ability to read, understand and interpret floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, zoning maps, construction specifications and operational policies.
* Ability to develop & implement companywide documents, tools, practice and processes.
* Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with customers, consultants and internal personnel, including senior management, LG Electronics Corporate Personnel.
* Bilingual (English & Korean) preferred
