Hello everyone,
We are working on multiple existing building renovations in NY which will be filed after October 2016 and therefore will have to comply with the state amended version of ASHRAE 90.1-2013. Most of these designs have upgraded envelope, glazing and some of these also have an increase in glazing area. I wanted to know how to treat this increase in glazing - should I model it in the Baseline or should the Baseline have the same WWR as the existing building. I have created an example table below to clarify further. Could anyone comment if I should be using Alt 1 or Alt 2?
