See the course demo at 16x speed! Do you find the worst part of starting a TRACE 700 model is creating the building geometry? We do too. Especially if the geometry is complicated.
We also find that importing someone else's gbXML - just doesn't work without a valiant effort.
Wouldn't it be awesome to see what you are modeling in TRACE 700?
The above example is at 16x the original speed. (this is the building from the TRACE 700 LEED case study. It took 2 hours to "draw" within TRACE 700, but only 30 minutes in sketchup!)
With recent updates to Openstudio (free software)- we had tried creating the building geometry in Openstudio and attempted to bring it into TRACE. Once we figured out how to work the process, we cut our geometry input time in half. PLUS we have a pretty neat model to show the client (and a true-blue sanity check).
The process is MUCH faster than entering the data into TRACE 700. So why not get started now? You will increase your TRACE 700 productivity, all while learning Openstudio, which can later be used to complete EnergyPlus simulations.

Great course. I wish I had known about this two years ago.
