I needed some information on any existing simulation tools available to simulate air-water, ground-water heat pumps and biomass boilers while doing energy modelling for housing. Is there any tool that does system sizing as well. For example for a house of 50 kW/m2 heat loss what capacity of heat pump would be required to heat the house to comfort temperatures?
I am doing projects of energy modelling of existing housing and need to assess heat pumps as an alternative heating system. What size of heat pump will I require and what energy savings would I achieve compared conventional oil or LPG? Is there any tool that answers this?
