doe2 command line question

Hello All,

I am trying to run a .inp file that was created with eQUEST in DOE22. I am getting a library error. I see that there is a library for eQUEST 363 in the C:\doe22\exent but I do not know how to call it from the command line. Can any of you help me by letting me know how to call the eQUEST library from the command line in DOE22 or running eQUEST itself from the command line? Thank you so much.

Hello John,

Though eQUEST uses DOE2.2 engine, library is not the same.
eQUEST and DOE2.2 each has a little different library file for their own
usage.

You may find missing component of DOE2.2 library in error message.
You could copy that component from eQUEST library and past it to DOE2.2
library.

Hope this resolve your problem.

Thanks,

also make sure you have not saved the project in eQUEST 3.64, because you
will not be able to run it with .63 anymore, and this may the source of the
errors.

Hello,

So the update I received was to copy/paste my equest library into my C:/doe22/exent/usrlib.dat which I did and I was still missing the material in question. I went through and found that the materil "Conc HW 140 lb 4 in ..." was actually in the bdllib.dat. I overwrote the doe22 bldllib.dat with equest bdllib.dat but I still get the same problem. It appears as though doe22 is not looking in the bdllib.dat because when I copy/paste the material in question to usrlib.dat it does not return an error for that material. Should I just copy/paste all the materials i'm using in the bdllib.dat to usrlib.dat? It seems a little time consuming to do it that way. Is there a better way? A way to just run eQUEST from the command line? Thanks for your help.

John,

I am curious to know if you solved this, or found the best way to run DOE2 files create in eQuest (or just run eQuest) from the command line.
