*Jan. 19-21: Three day workshop: Model Cities Anywhere ? Pathways towards a
Net Zero Urban Building Stock*
The Sustainable Design Lab at MIT has developed a new web app called
UBEM.io to streamline the creation and analysis of urban building energy
models (UBEMs). The resulting urban models can be directly used within
MIT?s Urban Modeling Interface (UMI) to calculate operational building
energy use. During this free, three day remote workshop we are looking for
teams who want to develop a greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction plan
for their jurisdiction.

*Jan. 28: A Delicate Balance: Energy Efficiency and Indoor Air Quality in
the COVID19 Era - IBPSA-USA Research Committee*
In this talk, Van Den Wymelenberg will briefly illustrate historic
relationships of buildings and health, present novel research on techniques
to conduct indoor microbial surveillance, and elaborate on the relationship
between layered disease transmission risk mitigation strategies, energy
consumption, and to some extent building simulation. *Approved for 1 AIA
