Hankins & Anderson is seeking a qualified and self-motivated Energy Engineer to join our Building Sciences Studio. H&A's Building Sciences Studio is a core interdisciplinary group of talented and skilled professionals with the experience and desire to provide high performance buildings around the world.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to generate energy models for LEED, EPACT, and 10 CFR 433 compliance; complete LEED EAC1 template submissions; review plans, schedules, and controls; interact with multiple disciplines; and author reports and studies, while performing supervised research in areas related to energy modeling. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with clients, engineers, architects and others of varying technical abilities, and must be able to work effectively within a team environment. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to self-direct and manage multiple ongoing projects at once.

Candidates will also participate in building inspections and surveys, including energy audits. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel to participate in these surveys. Estimated travel is six weeks per year.

Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis
* 2+ years of energy modeling experience with the ability to interpret results and correlate to equipment designs
* Experience in completion of LEED EAC1 templates
* Experience with eQuest; experience with other platforms such as Trace 700, EnergyPlus and IESVE a plus
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* U.S. Citizenship
Preferred:
* PE or EIT
* LEED AP or Green Associate
* BEMP
* AutoCAD or Revit experience
