*Building Energy Analysis Engineer*
The Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) is seeking a talented and
energetic and enthusiastic engineer to join our Engineering Services team.
CEE is a nonprofit organization in Minneapolis that promotes energy
efficiency to strengthen the economy while improving the environment. The
Building Energy Analysis Engineer will be supervised by a Senior Mechanical
Engineer and will be involved in building energy simulation, design review,
commissioning, and recommissioning.
This is a full time position that provides a wide range of benefits

*Primary Responsibilities*
Approximately half time related to building energy simulation as follows:
? Provide 3rd party review of simulation and design submittals
? Perform energy simulations (for multifamily and other building types) to
aid in design decisions and/or document performance for green building
rating systems (e.g. Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, LEED-NC)
? Perform energy simulations/analysis in support of research projects and
other programs
Other responsibilities will depend on project needs and will include one or
more of the following:
? Lead or assist in design and construction phase commissioning activities
for mechanical systems and envelope sealing (especially in multifamily
buildings)
? Lead or assist in recommissioning activities that recommend, implement
and verify energy efficiency improvements in commercial buildings through:
site inspections, plan review, BAS trend logging, and spreadsheet analysis
? Provide technical and cost-benefit review of proposed retrofits in small
commercial and non-profit buildings that are participating in CEE
administered loan programs
? Perform energy analysis, field data collection and other tasks in support
of CEE?s nationally recognized building energy research projects and
efficiency programs
*Qualifications*
? Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
? Extensive experience with building energy simulation software such as
eQUEST, Energy Plus, Trane TRACE and/or Carrier HAP
? Experience with HVACR system recommissioning, commissioning, design,
and/or control
? Knowledge of green building rating systems, as well as related codes and
standards
? Related licensure/accreditation preferred (e.g. PE, LEED, CEM, BEMP,
HBDP, CCP)
