Hello All, How long has this Forum/Site been around? It looks like it might have potential. The Trace-users Group on Onebuilding.org does not get much action. I have been using Trace for 30 plus years and find it to be pretty flexible. I keep attempting eQuest but I have yet to complete a model using it. I will keep an eye out in my spare time. Chow

Where is the bottom right edge of a doughnut? JK. Though I will try to work this into my awesome Deathstar energy use challenge, still entering in all the rooms. Anyone have a GBXML of the Deathstar circling Alderaan?

This forum was just introduced. It was in beta mode for the past few months, but it is ready to roll. Tell all your friends about it. We want to improve the energy-modeling community, but we need to pay for the site too. So, the more people that sign up, the lower the prices will get!!!

GOOD question on the sandwhiches!!! I bite the bottom right corner first too, eat around the edges, and save the middle for last. I do the same with jelly doughnuts!!! I like to save the best part for last, I think it is common among engineers, as we tend to be disciplined and understand rewards, if that makes sense. Did you know that smart people usually make better distance runners?

Welcome. Of all the forums out there on the interwebz, it is time for the energy modeler to have a place to discuss the trade, lean on someone, cry out loud, and have a few laughs. I too have checked out the Trace Users Group and found it boring, looked like e-mail from 1993. Some other places out there were contractor heavy or students trying to pass their FE exams. To show how freindly this place can be, here's a question for you and anyone else that reads this: What part of a sandwich (not sub/hoagie) do you take your first bite from? May be a pointless question here, but getting to know the other person is vital to making this place exciting. So my answer is that I always started at the bottom right corner. Why, IDK?

Hello,

I am so relieved to have found a forum for modeling!  So many details and requirements and so few resources that are truly helpful and not just regurgitating the same informaiton I didn't understand to begin with!

Cut the sandwich on the diagonal first.  First bite is the the pointy end that would have been the top left corner of the sandwich if it was still whole.

Cheers!
