There has been a recently discovered compatibility issue between eQUEST version 3.61 and AutoCad 2008. When importing a drawing from AutoCAD 2008 into the eQUEST wizard, eQUEST will generate an error message and delete the dwg file completely leaving the user with no way to recover the file.

To import a dwg while using AutoCAD 2008, go to File -> Save As and save the file as a AutoCAD 2004 file. Note that if you reopen the file in AutoCAD 2008 and only hit "Save" it will change it back to a ACAD 2008 file.

Just another reason to always keep backups.
