Cad Import

Hi Everyone

I am having trouble importing CAD files into the new version 3.65. I am using the same procedure I always use and the same files are working in 3.64. In 3.65 I am getting a blank page with no layers.

Has anyone else experienced this? I typically draw polylines in a separate layer on the CAD file and save as an older 2000 version *.dwg file. I just updated to AutoCAD 2014 but since the same files are working in the older version 3.64 I don't think by AutoCAD procedure is to blame.

Thanks for any insight you may have

I have another thread on here, and it has been brought up in a third thread even. No one seems to have an answer for this yet. Sorry for not having an answer, but eventually something will come along

David,

I had this same issue earlier this week. Here is what I did to correct the issue:

  1. I opened a previous CAD background that I had used in EQuest 3.64
  2. Pasted my new background in the old file.
  3. Deleted old background.
  4. Saved file with new name on local machine.
  5. Mapped the new background to EQuest using v3.64 procedure.
  6. Background finally showed up.
Hope this works for you.

What I have been doing is tracing the shell in the older version of EQuest, then opening it in the new version once im past that step.
