I found a formula for EIR calculations from the eQuest-users Archive "Wizard DX EER Correction" with the following formulas:
EIR = (1/EER-0.012167)/((1/3.413)+ 0.012167)
EIR = (1/SEER*0.778+1.4)-0.012167)/((1/3.413)+ 0.012167)
However, the same archive shows that the EIR = (Compressor Input + Condenser Input)/ (Cooling Output) ... at ARI conditions.
What is the correct method of calculating EIR?... and if the correct method is the formulas above can someone explain the calculation coefficients? I would expect, if I know the unit informaiton, that I'd take the unit input power and net capacity output for my EIR calcs.
