PNNL: VOLTTRON Challenge Announcement

1 post / 0 new

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is pleased to announce a series of innovation challenges that will accelerate the growth of smart, connected buildings.
All submitted projects are required to use VOLTTRON(tm)-an open-source software platform that enables energy, operational, and financial transactions among building systems (such as heating/cooling equipment, hot-water heaters, washers and dryers, refrigerators, lighting controls, weather stations, thermostats, humidity sensors, etc), among buildings, and between the building stock and the smart grid.

We are seeking industry entities, individuals, and currently enrolled or recent graduates to participate in a series of innovation challenges.

The first challenge will begin in May and will run through June 2016. The registration deadline is April 22, 2016 - only registered groups may participate in the first challenge. For more information, visit the Connected Buildings Challenge website, or take a look at our Announcement.
There is an upcoming informational webinar on April 6th 10am (USA, ET).

Looking forward to your project submissions.
