This might be a bit of an odd question, but how much do most energy models
charge for residential modeling? is it the typically the same rates as any
other modeling?

thanks,

I think it is relevant question. Just not sure if this is the correct
platform. I want to elaborate on this line of question.

How much would it cost to do building energy modeling for...( give or
take diff size, complexity level).

A. - Warehouse

B. - Office Building

C. - Manufacturing Facility
What benefits we can achieve from that?

We very seldom ever do modeling on residential. Most homeowners are not
willing to pay the fee.

It's no different than anything else though, you just need to estimate
how many hours you think it is going to take you to do the modeling and
report, times your rate per hour you need to get your costs, OH and
profit. Then after you have your cost history on doing a few then you
should be able to shift the rate up or down a little for future work.
There is really no other way to do it, otherwise you won't make anything
and you'll be out of business.
