Dear Colleagues
The Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), in association with the
Canadian Passive House Institute, is hosting a one-day, introductory course
on Passive House Design.
This course will explore how the Passive House Standard can be a
cost-effective way to design and construct a building that is extremely
energy efficient. Attendees will leave the course with a fundamental
understanding of the elements of Passive House Design. Participants will
also have an opportunity to explore the business case for designing and
building to the Passive House Standard, including total costs and long-term
energy savings. Following this course participants will have an overview of
the key principles and concept of the Passive House Standard. Participants
will be able to generally differentiate sustainable constructions from
others and will be able to analyze projects more in depth. This course will
help participants to design and build sustainable projects.
This course benefits builders, designers, policy makers and professionals
involved in sustainability or energy efficiency in the built environment
