LEED Compliance - Weather File

To All,

For some reason my model is stalling on the weather file location. I have
placed the weather file in the correct location with one difference from
path. On my computer there is no "Documents" folder, it is either "My
Documents" or "Public Documents." eQuest is telling me that the file does
not exist. I did go to the drop down under tools->file locations and it
shows it pointing there. I am at a loss.

Thanks,

Hi Peter,

I was having some issues similar with a weather file that I was not able to
download from the weather site.

What ended up working for me was that I placed the desired weather file
(.bin) in the general weather directory for the version of eQuest I was
running (different folders for version 3.63 & 3.64...) Instead of placing
the file in the appropriate folder (i.e. TMY, CZ, etc.) it seemed to be
able to find my weather file when it just sat in the general folder for
weather.

You'll need to double check the specified (defualt) path in your project
site info screen, sometimes it will have "TMY\Denver.bin" for example.
Remove the TMY\ part and see if that works.

This was one of those stupid minor issues, but when I couldn't get it to
work it seemed more productive to 'bang my head against the wall'...
