U value temperature dependence in eQUEST

Hi,

Does anyone know if and how eQUEST accounts for the temperature dependence of U values? For instance, some manufacturers specify a summer design condition U value that is different from a winter design condition U value. Ideally I would like to have eQUEST calculate the hourly U value based on the hourly temperature to get accurate skin loads throughout the whole year. If anyone knows how this can be done, please let me know.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, the envelope loads are calculated in the Loads routine,
in advance of the system response calculation by the System (and Plant)
routine. So, if the zone temperature is considerably different than the
space temperature (used for the loads calculation), there will be a
difference in the envelope driven heating/cooling requirement.

It is an iterative process (in each time step) to calculate the actual
space temperature. DOE-2 (neither 2.1 nor 2.2) do not do this iterative
process. If it is important -- that is what EnergyPlus does.
