Modeling louvers & Shades in eQuest

Dear Friends,

I am modeling one for Baseline design as per Appendix - G 90.1. The Top most floor of the building consists of the construction as per attached layout.

My Question is - 1. Shall I have to model the shades like construction on the top floor in the building (see the attached model for your reference)?

??????????????????????????? 2. Another things is How can We model louvers in eQuest? The top most floor of the building also consists some small louvers.

Thanks,

Hi Nimesh,

1. Baseline models should not model static shades, and the building should not be self-shading (this is an exterior surface property). Conversely, proposed models should be self-shading and should include static shading elements such as large overhangs.

2. Second question is too broadly posed for the mailing list to answer without guessing at your meaning... are these intake or exhaust louvers? Are they fixed/non-fixed solar shading?
