Courses described:
The most imprortant course is TRACE 501. Learn how to use TRACE 700, the nuances, and all of the important things you MUST know. Learn specifics that apply to most projects such as how to determine annual energy consumption and cost, add equipment, typical set up options that you are REQUIRED to know. Additionally, learn what you must know to become a proficient modeler: how to create custom equipment, create custom schedules and libraries, and view reports. What are typical values? Sanity checks.
Intro to TRACE gives you a solid foundation in TRACE. You'll learn how to model a building in TRACE to determine loads and energy, determine monthly life cycle costs, create custom equipment, custom schedules and libraries, and understand the TRACE calculation process.
You get building plans to follow along step by step, while creating the baseline building in TRACE using the architectural and mechanical specs, creating thermal blocks to simplify LEED modeling, learning how to create the proposed building plus tips to make project submission to GBCI a little less painful.
Energy-Models.com is a site for energy modelers, building simulators, architects, and engineers who want learn the basics, to advanced concepts of energy modeling. We've got online training courses and tutorials for eQUEST, Trane TRACE 700, OpenStudio, and LEED for energy modeling. All our energy modeling courses are video based. What better way to learn energy modeling software than screen-casts of exactly how things are done?
