Spaces fully Bounded?

Hello,

When I begin an eQuest model in the Wizard entry mode and use a CAD file to "trace" my spaces I find that when I look at them in the detailed edit that they are not all bounded by walls. Sometimes a core space will not have any walls or just one or two, but may not be fully bounded. I find I end up going through and "bounding" all my spaces, to makes sure they have the correct layout of "interior" walls, "adiabatic" walls, "air" walls etc. Could someone explain why some spaces are created with interior walls in the wizard and others are not? As a follow up how are interior walls counted for in terms of thermal mass and by fully bounding spaces are internal walls double counted with regards to thermal mass? I often use a "quick wall" or rather U-value input for light weight interior construction, but when I have a building with a lot of CMU walls internally I want to make sure I appropriately address the thermal storage properties.

Thanks for the help.
