How do I model a shading device that is an overhang, a foot away from the
exterior wall, tilted 30 deg (down) from the horizontal and supported by
brackets at each side.?

You can use a Building Shade for that.

his is the invitation to the 29th AIVC Conference organized with IEA/ECBCS.
It will be held on 14-16 October, 2008 in Kyoto Int. Conference Center,
Japan.
