All,

I have an appendix G (2007) LEED question on Unit heaters. My proposed
building has some heating-only spaces, mechanical rooms & the like, which
are served by hydronic unit heaters - capacity under 20kbtu each. How
should these spaces be handled in the LEED baseline? The overall system for
the rest of the spaces in the Baseline model will be a System 5
(nonresidential, 5 floors or less, between 25kSF & 150kSF, purchased heat).
Section G3.1.1 exception b seems to indicate that the heating-only spaces
should be served by a separate System 3 in the Baseline model. Is this
correct?
