[TRNSYS-users] Absorption chiller cooling load

Dear Trynsys users,

I am working on a solar absorption system project. almost everything is ready for my simulation except for the cooling load. I am planing to get the building hourly cooling load by another software like HAP and save the results in an excel file maybe. My question now is how can i import the hourly cooling loads into Trynsys and link it to the absorption chiller?

I thought i could obtain the hourly chilled water inlet temperature by excel through the equation: Qload= Mass flow rate* Cp * (Chilling water inlet temperature - chilling water outlet temperature) and then use the hourly chilled water inlet temperature as an input to the chiller but I'm not sure about that. and If so, how can I do import the chilling water temperature data to trynsys?

Thank you so much

Dear Frady,

We recommend using a data reader TYPE 9, or forcing function TYPE 14. Use can use an equation to convert the data file to a cold water temperature and mass flow rate.

Do not hesitate to ask more questions.

Cheers,
Jeremy
