Hello Everyone,
I am trying to simulate heat pump chiller in eQuest software but I could not. I know that I can select heat pump chiller in the detailed mode but how to connect it to the hot water loop and to the hot water coils?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards
Ahmad

Hi Ahmad,
Heat pump chillers in eQUEST can serve chilled water loops and 2-pipe loops. To serve hot water loads, you have to use a 2-pipe loop. I like to model heat pump chillers with a 2-pipe loop that is dedicated to heating loads by using a high outdoor snap temperature. Heat pump chillers are covered in the help documentation as water-to-water heat pumps. I suggest you join the equest-users list equest-users at lists.onebuilding.org.

Hello Bill,
Than you very much for the help.
I have changed the hot water loop to 2-pipe and selected the chiller heat pump and assigned it to the hot water loop but I received the below error. Could you please help me out in this. Further, can I select "air cooled" in the condenser tab?

Regards
Ahmad
