I have a strange question. In the SV-A report, the ZONE name gets shortened if it has more than 25 characters. I am having a difficult time determining the logic for how the ZONE name is shortened. Examples:
Common Area 2B Pl Zn (G.C35) => Common Area 2B Pl Zn (G.C
Female Washrm 115 Spc (G.NNE6) => Female Washrm 115 Zn (G.N)
I have logic worked out for the above two examples. This logic applies in the majority of cases. But that logic breaks down for some cases, mainly plenum zone names:
Cinn YF Count 1 Pl Zn (G.C52) => Cinn YF Count 1 Pl Zn (G.)
Walk-in Freez Pl Zn (G.NNW37) => Walk-in Freez Pl Zn (G.NN)
Why am I looking for this logic you may ask? I have spreadsheets that link the SV-A report data to the LV-B report data. It is straight forward to determine the ZONE name and it's associated SPACE name from the .inp file but I need to determine how the zone name is shortened to link up the LV-B and SV-A reports.
