I'm in Detail Edit looking at "Project & Site" element in equest.
Under "Site Data" is a list of parameters that are obviously pretty important for any LEED compliance analysis runs.
But I have a question regarding time zone... I am in Fairbanks Alaska in the Alaska Time Zone.
The Time Zone, itself, is not user editable. But is currently specified as time zone "10"
However, if you right click the field, then click on item help... Time Zone "10" is Hawaii (not Alaska).
TIME-ZONE
Specifies the time zone for a building relative to Greenwich as time zone 0. The values range from -1 to -12 for zones east of the prime meridian and from 1 to 12 for zones west of the prime meridian. If not specified, this value will be taken from the weather file. The TIME-ZONE values for the United States are:
4-Atlantic 7-Mountain
5-Eastern 8-Pacific
6-Central 9-Yukon
10-Hawaii
Hawaii time is one hour behind Alaska time.
Yukon is one hour ahead of Alaska time.
I guess I'll be using time zone 10 whether I like it or not BUT wouldn't that have a pretty substantial impact on the compliance analysis runs?
Especially since the seasons in Alaska are pretty drastic. Winter time is less of an issue because it stays more or less steady temp. But in the Spring and Fall I would think the affect would be magnified.
Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance!
