Is there any means/method to "purge" an eQuest/DOE2 model to automate
removal of any defined constructions/materials/schedules that are not
being referenced elsewhere?
I am seeking a means or method to quickly perform conceptually the same
"housekeeping" task of removing Constructions/schedules/materials and
such from the .inp file that aren't being used or referenced, without
doing so manually in a text editor or rightclick-deleting many items in
the interface.
I haven't found anything that is efficient. I usually just sit back, relax
and start right clicking.... or I just don't bother deleting the
non-referenced stuff unless it creates an error and forces me too.
I hold it to be true that someday all of this will be much easier. Soon,
please.
Pasha has the right attitude and I'll add a couple of additional
recommendations: if a dog or cat is available, have it snuggle up next to
you, approach it as a meditation and breathe in and breathe out, use the
opportunity to also rename spaces, thermal zones, etc., to something that
makes sense to you, if you are at home the judicious use of wine or beer may
be appropriate. In summary, look at it as a gift that has been given to you
to go slower. You may as well, and you know it will be worth it in the end.
To clarify,
I am not asking about purging a CAD reference.

"housekeeping" task of removing Constructions/schedules/materials and
such from the .inp file that aren't being used or referenced, without
doing so manually in a text editor or rightclick-deleting many items in

Keep the faith, Nick!
