Dear all,
Are there any existing studies that investigate the relationship between
the roof insulation R-value and energy performance in a non-refrigerated
warehouse/distribution center?
The ASHRAE 90.1 prescriptive baseline is R-20 c.i. and I'm inclined to
believe it is not an envelope dominated building type. In a one story
warehouse that is more than half a million square feet in area, the roof
area can be considerable compared to walls and windows, while the indoor
temperature might be allowed to swing a little more than in other
commercial building types.
Thank you,
Ramana Koti.
