A new edition of the ESP-r Cookbook and Exercises volume is available on the
ESRU web page for download
page.
This edition has expanded to 170 pages and has new chapters on operational
schedules and the art of creating air flow networks as well as a summary of
the computational capabilities of ESP-r.
More emphasis is placed on strategy and methods for translating client questions and
working drawings into models which are fit-for-purpose. This would be useful
reading for anyone or any team using numerical assessments.
The dialogue has been updated to reflect the current interface and includes
expert tips as well as warnings about the places where the dragons live.
The exercises have been updated and tied into the body of the Cookbook
and are better suited for coursework and workshops.
The layout is now double column and sized for printing at B4, two
pages per A4, or scaled to 85% for extra large margins on A4.
Work is underway on chapters about simulation team working practices
(with checklists) and ensuring model quality (more checklists).
Enjoy and spread the word! ESRU is interested in helping to co-ordinate
efforts to translate the Cookbook into other languages. Please email
me if you want to join in the effort.
Regards, Jon Hand.
