Hello everybody,
I have measured on-site climate data and stored them in an excel sheet.
I want to use them in energy-plus for temperature prediction in the
building.
I don't know how to put them in an epw file in order to perform the
simulation.
I will be happy to know that you can help me.
Thank you for your time
Regards

Hello Ibrahim,
You can try using the free software tool called ?Elements?. Here is the

I hope it helps.

The difficulty of converting measured weather data to an epw depends a lot on how complete
are your data.? For a usable simulation weather file, you need these six key parameters -
temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, global horizontal and direct normal solar
radiation.? The solar radiation is generally the most problematic.? There are various
models that calculate solar radiation from other climate parameters, esp. cloud cover, but
there are not many publicly-available programs that have them.? Also, cloud cover requires
human observation or a dedicated laser and is almost never recorded at typical weather
monitoring stations.? Lastly,? you have to make sure that whatever program you use
interpolates in case there are missing observations in your data stream.
