NASA POWER can generate EPW files for a location in the
Power Data Access Viewer.
I haven't used the data but I was not aware of this
previously so I thought I would share, see below.

Subject: NASA POWER Beta Testing: Feedback Request
Dear NASA POWER user,
The Prediction Of Worldwide Energy Resources (POWER) Project
is transitioning to a new hosting environment and is
requesting user feedback on the Web Services Beta. The Beta,
which will eventually become POWER Web Services Portal
Version 2, utilizes the new version of data including the
latest NASA satellite analysis sources for surface fluxes
(solar and thermal infrared). In addition, the following
enhancements to data services have been implemented:
1.Single location, user specified time period, hourly data
availability (including the .epw output data format)
2.Single location, user specified time series processing for
various time averages using the newest input data
3.Single location, user specified time period, long-term
variability and anomaly reports (including ASHRAE^? building
climate zone indicators for climate monitoring)
4.Single location, user specified time period ASHRAE^?
Climate Design Condition report
5.Single location, regional, and global user specified time
period ASHRAE^? building climate zones processing
(visualization capability in the NASA AGOL
Users of the POWER Data Access Viewer (DAV) should
experience no major impacts on usability during this
migration process. For users of the custom POWER Application
Programming Interface (API), there will be substantial
improvements in the responsiveness, usability, and standard
compliance of the API endpoints. This includes an updated
path based Uniform Resource Locator (URL) system, enhanced
Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) query keywords, a streamed
response of the requested data format (no longer requiring
you to find the requested data format download link within
the JSON response).
For more information on how to integrate the Version 2 of
the POWER API Services Catalog, please navigate to the POWER
Services Catalog Documentation
on the Beta site.
This migration is expected to be completed on 07/01/2021.
Once migrated, the POWER Services Catalog Version 1 will be
deactivated and only Version 2 will be supported going forward.

Please explore, utilize, and provide feedback to the POWER
Project Team
appreciate your input on any bugs or data issues as well as
improvements or additional tools needed.
For any questions regarding this transition, please reach
out to POWER Project Team
Sincerely,
The POWER Project Team
