LG - VRF curves

Hi

I am working on one project where they have LG - VRF system (Air cooled Condensing). I tried contacting LG rep but it seems like they don't have curves to model them in eQuest (or they don't know what curves mean for eQuest, strange). I looked online and I didn't find curves anywhere for models.

ARUN036GS2

ARUN168BTE4

ARUB072BTE4

Can someone help me with those curves for these particular models?

Thanks a lot in advance

Dear Harshul,
As far as i know, curve coefficients for LG multi V4 (HP) model are available which can be imported to equest. Better to ask the rep to check with their headquarters in korea.

Singhal,

Here are the curves (got them a few weeks ago from a rep). I have only
checked for ARUB072B and it's in.

For some reasons they give you a full library... the curves are around line
27116 ($-------------LG Multi V Super 4 HP
Model-NorthAmerica------------------------------------)

I'm also attaching their eQUEST_Building_Energy_Modeling_Guide_for_LG
Multi_V.

Cheers,
Julien

Hi Julien,

Thanks a lot for sending me curves. Really appreciate that. They worked with 40% savings at cooling at 50% savings at heating side as we expected due to heat recovery for VRFs.

Hello eQuest users,

I am currently modeling a LG VRF system in equest. I have used the LG
performance curves for ARUB360B(D)TE4 which were exchanged on this list few
days back. These curves include the heat recovery between the zones. I have
also modeled the VRF system as per the LG MVIII_HR_Energy_Analysis guide.
My results show 70% reduction in heating and 70% reduction in fan energy.
This project has a DOAS with heat recovery as well. I have accounted for
the heat recovery at the FCUs using the outside air heat recovery tab. This
building is located in Oregon. Some of the anomalies I note -

- No space cooling savings
- Heat recovery reduces the space heating to some degree but there is a
huge fan energy penalty

I have modeled VRF systems in the past mostly Daikin and they have worked
well. Has anyone faced similar issues using the LG performance curves?

Thanks in advance

Best,

Hi,

Could someone please send me LG's VRF curves for eQuest? I can't get them.

Thank you!
