*The Role:*
With support from the Sr. Building Analyst, you will incorporate building
envelope detail, materials and specification information to construct and
run an Energy Model.
You will collaborate to analyse and interpret the results in order to
determine a building?s efficiency under various design conditions and enable
sustainable building designs.
You will communicate results directly with the Mechanical Design team who
are involved in the creation of sustainable building solutions which embrace
environmental responsibility through use of the integrated design process,
sustainable and passive design concepts, microclimate analysis and advanced
building modelling tools.
You should have a strong working knowledge of IESve modelling software or
equivalent.
*Requirements:*

You are a self-motivated *Mechanical Engineer* registered as an EIT or PEng,
or eligible for registration. You have excellent *written and verbal
communication skills*, have proven experience in Mechanical services design
(HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems) with experience in the energy
modelling process using IESve or equivalent.
*Candidate Profile*
? AutoCAD experience coupled with design experience in HVAC,
Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
? Energy Modelling experience (IESve or equivalent)
? Knowledge of Energy Modelling software
? Ability to think mechanically and/or mechanically inclined
? Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings
with minimal supervision provided by senior staff
? Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of plumbing building
and sprinkler codes (i.e. NFPA, BCBC, BC Plumbing Code, etc) with minimal
supervision provided by senior staff
? Ability to multi-task with strong listening skills to receive and
executive instructions
? Critical thinking and problem solving
? Initiative and inclination to learn
? EIT classification, AScT accreditation, or ability to apply for
PEng qualification is an asset
? University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering or
related specialization is required
? Further certification in Energy Modelling, Buildings Systems
Performance, Energy Assessment or Sustainable Engineering is beneficial
