Invitation: FutureWeather.co pilot program

1 post / 0 new

Dear Colleagues,

We are inviting architecture, engineering, and building performance practitioners to a pilot program on FutureWeather.co. Participating organizations will receive 3 months of complimentary access to FutureWeather.co on the "Firm" plan, which includes up to 50 future weather generation jobs per month.

The purpose of the pilot is to learn how future weather data can improve real-world design, analysis, and planning decisions. We are interested in any application where future weather data could meaningfully inform a decision, whether that is equipment sizing, energy performance and operating cost, resilience, or other areas. We'll also use learnings from the pilot to improve the platform. You'll be free to use any outputs for commercial or research purposes, in EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, IES VE, DesignBuilder, TRACE 3D Plus, Ladybug/Honeybee, or other workflows that accept EPW and DDY files.

A few more details, including the (very short) application form, are at www.futureweather.co/pilot/.

What is FutureWeather.co?
FutureWeather.co converts historical weather files into future climate-adjusted EPW, DDY, and STAT files, typically in under 30 seconds. The platform is based on a peer-reviewed morphing methodology and uses projections from 23 CMIP6 global climate models across four future climate scenarios, and is available through a web interface, REST API, Python package, Revit/Dynamo package, and Grasshopper. Recent platform enhancements include use of sub-daily climate data for better representation of future extremes, an analytics dashboard, and Parametric Mode.

How to Apply
Apply at www.futureweather.co/pilot/ or email me directly (note: please do not "reply all" to this email) at rowan at radbridge.com with your organization, primary simulation tools, and the types of projects or decisions you hope future weather data could inform.

If you're not able to participate in the pilot but still want to try the service, you can sign up for free and receive 5 job credits at https://futureweather.co.

Please get in touch by Friday, July 10 to secure your spot.

Kind Regards,

Rowan Schmidt
