eQUEST has two types of water economizers:
- Chillers of TYPE:WATER-ECONOMIZER
- Airside cooling coil SYSTEM:WS-ECONO accessible in System -> Cooling Tab -> Economizer Tab
The system-level water-side economizer is a coil attached to a condenser-water loop. That option is the one that is not currently implemented in DOE-2.3.
The WATER-ECONOMIZER chiller is usable in DOE-2.3 and has updated capabilities in eQUEST 3.65.
The error message shown below is common and can apply to any CHW coil - not just water economizers. The error is generated by a combination of system MIN-SUPPLY-T, fan SUPPLY-DELTA-T and FAN-PLACEMENT, and CHW loop DESIGN-COOL-T.
