integrated sustainable design.
*Main Focus: *
This full-time position requires someone with an engineering background and
passion for sustainability. This person needs to be a licensed PE (or not
pursuing licensure) with experience in energy modeling and building systems
design.
*Location:* Open to any HKS office but prefer Orlando or Dallas
*Key Attributes: *
- Passion for sustainability
- Experience in LEED required
- Articulate and comfortable leading sustainability charrettes
- Energy modeling experience required
- Ability to understand other aspects of sustainable building design
beyond building
- systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with architects and/or
non-engineers
- Knowledge of other building performance software a plus
- Ability to look at the big picture yet also pay attention to detail
*Key Responsibilities: *
- Project Administrator for LEED (or other rating system) projects
- Peer-review consultant energy models and LEED documentation for
engineering
- disciplines
- Collaborate with design teams to promote sustainable strategies that
are appropriate
- for a particular project
- Full scale energy modeling capabilities including early phase analysis
through to
- LEED compliance model
- In-house training/educating staff on energy analysis software
