I'm responding to a LEED review comment regarding fan horsepower in my base
cases. I've calculated the fan horsepower allowance per ASHRAE 90.1 and have
entered an appropriate kW/cfm value in eQuest. I'm using a constant volume
system (PSZ) with continuous fan operation during occupied hours. The fan
electric demand shows up correctly on the SV-A report, but on the PS-F
report under the fan energy, the demand is different, and is a different
different for each one of the four orientations. Does anyone know what might
be causing this difference? Is something else in the system also accounted
under the fan energy end use category? Any insights would be appreciated.
